Who We Are

Additional Information

Thank you for stopping by. You have found a place where our welcome extended to you is predicated only by our welcome of God into our presence. We believe that just as you are at the center of His heart, you are to be at the center of ours as well. Take a moment and look around. Get acquainted with us here. Then come in soon and allow us the pleasure of getting acquainted with you.

If you like what you see both here and in person, we offer an introductory class to those who are interested in being a member at Village of Faith. This class discusses what we believe, our structure, our finances, and how to get involved in various ministries. Schedules permitting, you will also get to meet our staff.

Village of Faith, or as we are known by most of our members, "VOF," originally met early on Sunday mornings at the First Baptist Church of Lady Lake. In 2010, we moved into our first-phase building at our current location at the corner of CR 127 and 462. We are now in the process of moving into building our next phase, a much larger auditorium (500 seats starting, expandable to almost 900), children's area, Bible study classrooms, choir/music suite, and cafe. Visit our New Building page for more information.

We are a participating member of both the Florida Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention. It is our honor to give fourteen percent of our annual budget to the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention so that missionaries will be better equipped to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ here at home and around the world.

The people of Village of Faith are guided by our Mission Statement, "To know Christ and to make Him known." We are inspired to continue our efforts and Spirit-driven desire to do God's work, delivering the Gospel to as many people as possible, as clearly as possible, and all to the glory of God. We are a unique church in that we love others genuinely, and are often referred to by those who visit us as "the friendliest church in town." It's something you would truly have to experience to understand.

Our Vision:

To build a thriving church of vibrant believers led by a team of spirit-empowered leaders using their gifts, talents, and resources to reach the lost, build believers, and touch our community, city, nation, and world with God's irresistible love and amazing grace.

Our Purpose:

  • Reach everyone we can with the hope of Jesus
  • Touch the broken, bruised, and bound with the love of God
  • Teach the Word of God, the ways of God, and true worship of God
  • Change ourselves, our community, our city, and our world by living out The Great Commandment, "Love the Lord with all your heart..." (Matthew 22:37) and obeying The Great Commission, "Go into all the world..." (Mark 16:15).
