Here's what we're doing to ensure your safety. If you have any concerns, please share them with us!
At VOF we follow the current CDC guidelines. We know the guidelines change depending on the existing environment which means our policy and procedures will change to keep up. Everyone at VOF wants to ensure that we maintain a safe environment for our members and guests.
Current CDC guideline (and VOF policy): "People with COVID-19 should isolate for 5 days and if they are asymptomatic or their symptoms are resolving (without fever for 24 hours), follow that by 5 days of wearing a mask when around others to minimize the risk of infecting people they encounter. Additionally, CDC is updating the recommended quarantine period for anyone in the general public who is exposed to COVID-19. For people who are unvaccinated or are more than six months out from their second mRNA dose (or more than 2 months after the J&J vaccine) and not yet boosted, CDC now recommends quarantine for 5 days followed by strict mask use for an additional 5 days. Individuals who have received their booster shot do not need to quarantine following an exposure, but should wear a mask for 10 days after the exposure. If symptoms occur, individuals should immediately quarantine until a negative test confirms symptoms are not attributable to COVID-19."
We have installed Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation lights in our AC system. UV lights are used for germicidal use in hospitals and they have been shown effective in sterilizing an HVAC system.
We installed HEPA filters throughout the air conditioning system in the main church building. What’s important about HEPA filters is they’re incredibly effective at capturing almost every size of particle. They can capture viruses, bacteria, pollen, PM2.5, allergens, and more.
A sanitizing mist is sprayed into the air so that all areas, including chairs, walls and all flooring are sanitized. This process is done regularly and prior to EVERY event.
Weekly, the entire church and annex building are thoroughly cleaned including common areas and surfaces.
Masks and sanitizing products are available.
The use of face coverings (masks) while on our campus is strictly voluntary except following recovery or exposure to COVID (see Health Policy above).
