Ministry & Service Teams

This team provides oversight of ongoing efforts to develop a worship facility capable of meeting the needs of the rapidly growing community surrounding VOF. Our recently completed expansion is a step toward this goal, and our current Faith Forward financial pledge program is part of our planning to achieve the Pastor’s vision that God has provided.

This team concentrates on making our visitors feel welcome and connected to the VOF family. The team provides gift incentives to “break the ice” so that our guests know for certain they are welcome at VOF. We use our Connect Cards, modes of contact listed on the cards, and various scheduled fellowships as ways of introducing guests to our VOF leadership and people.

Greeters are the initial smile and welcoming handshake people entering our buildings receive from the membership of VOF. Our team is the friendliest of the friendliest. Our love for people shows in the way we greet them. 

Guest Services continues the multilevel first impressions greeting process with positive spiritual commitment for our guests and members.  We assist them with updated information concerning current events as well as guidance to VOF Ministries and Service Teams.  Our team weaves the healing fabric in presenting Christ through the VOF Guest Services Desk with genuine expression of fellowship.  

The Hospitality Ministry’s function is simply in its name. We want to provide nourishment hospitality to special guests and for special events such as concerts (guest artists), conferences, celebrations of life, and the like. Our service may be in food coordination, preparation, scheduled catering, and keeping supplies stocked for continued success.

We are a quilting/prayer ministry of VOF. Our goal is to provide comforting quilts to VOF members who are experiencing serious health issues or other life altering situations. Each prayer quilt is prayed over during creation and then presented to the congregation for additional prayers and “knot tying” on strings made into each quilt before being given to the recipient.

This team explores opportunities to proclaim the message of Jesus Christ outside the walls of VOF, both here in America and internationally. We do this by application of our finances, as well as our physical presence putting “boots on the ground” with scheduled VOF mission trips when and where possible. Our team is the first seen by visitors and members entering the campus of Village of Faith. The first impression we make is to show others a Christ-like spirit/attitude helping them to park their cars safely. This helps to show that people are not only important to us, but also important to Christ and welcome at our church. 

“Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God.” 1 Peter 5:2 NLT

Pastoral Care Group Leaders allow God’s love to shine through them, demonstrated by their eagerness to serve ‘Him and His’. The Pastoral Care Group Leaders provide a ministry of love, acceptance, forgiveness and caring through worship and fellowship. They provide an organized venue for extended worship ministry and fellowship opportunities, in small group settings.

We are a part of the Prayer Team that provides a tangible way to show our member’s families and friends that VOF cares, loves, and supports them. We make hand-crocheted or knitted shawls and blankets which are then prayed over by members of VOF. However, and more important than showing our care, we show how much God cares, loves and provides strength in both their good and bad times.

Our team provides active encouragement and promotes prayer within the church body. We seek the open and responsive working of Holy Spirit in demonstrating God’s love, guidance, and healing power to be released for the benefit of His people. This includes weekly prayer guides, and Wednesday prayer service cards, that allow the entire VOF family to be aware of and praying for member’s critical needs.

The Production Team provides video, audio, lighting, and visual aid services for worship, while also producing the final video and audio for live-streaming on all platforms utilized. We are active during all worship services,  concerts, special events, funerals and weddings. Our goal is to clearly broadcast the Good News of the Gospel to all the world, starting with those within the walls of VOF.

The purpose of the VOF Safety/Security Team is to be a companion to our under-shepherd and like a Sheepdog who is also capable of great violence but stands ready to confront the enemy and protect the flock.

The Vocal Team is an auditioned group of vocalists who have a passion for leading others through singing.  

The Worship Band is an auditioned group of instrumentalists who have a passion for leading others through skillfully playing one or more instruments. They are a musically disciplined group using click tracks with stems (backing tracks). 

To lead VOF in the worship of Almighty God is a very high honor, and we approach our roles as a high privilege. The Worship Ministry leads in artistic ways through the audio and visual aspects of music, sound, lighting, graphics, design, and technology.
