Richard G. Lee, Ph.D., is the founding pastor of First Redeemer Church and the president and speaker for There’s Hope America broadcasting media in metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia. A native of the city, he has served as pastor of two mega-churches in the greater Atlanta area along with being a national recognized religious broadcaster and award winning author.
Formal Education – His formal education includes B.A., Psychology, magna cum laude, Mercer University; Master of Divinity, Luther Rice Seminary; Doctor of Ministry, Luther Rice Seminary; postdoctoral studies in Theology, the University of Oxford, Oxford, England; and Ph.D., GTF Foundation House/Oxford with advanced standing.
Works – Dr. Lee has published 22 books by major publishing houses. His most notable work, The American Patriot’s Bible (Thomas Nelson/Harper Collins), reached number 5 of all best-selling books sold over Amazon after its release.
Through television, radio and podcasts his programs, There’s Hope America and Stories of America’s Faith are broadcast nationally each day, encouraging Christian involvement in the shaping of today’s culture.
Honors – Recipient of the 2016 William Ayers Distinguished Service Award from the National Religious Broadcasters Association; the Father of the Year, National Father’s Day Council; Alumnus of the Year, Luther Rice Seminary; and Alumnus of the Year, Toccoa Falls College; recipient of the Ronald Reagan Leadership Award and recipient of a national Telly Award for excellence in video and television production as an Executive Producer.
